This year marks the 92nd annual Jr. Parada Parade! On Thanksgiving weekend, Historic Florence is filled with cowboy spirit, as floats line Main Street. After the parade, head out to the Charles Whitlow Rodeo Grounds where you will see some rough and tough little cowboys and cowgirls competing in the Oldest Jr. Rodeo in the U.S!

Historic Home Tour
Historic Home Tour
A celebration of the Town’s rich history, unique homes and buildings are featured on this historic home tour. The route is planned for those to enjoy a leisurely stroll through Main Street or hop a ride to some of the outlying buildings. Tickets $20 in advance for adults , or $25 the day of the event. Ages 17 and under are free.

This event will put you in the Easter Spirit! Come out and hunt for thousands of prize-filled eggs! There is something for all to enjoy. Enjoy a Pancake Breakfast with Hip Hop the bunny. The Adult Plate includes three pancakes, two sausages, and a beverage ($6) and the Kid’s Plate include two pancakes, one sausage, and a beverage ($4).

The fun starts at the Florence Aquatic Center for the Freedom Fest Party from 1:00 to 5:00 pm. Open swimming, games, and music throughout the day. This FREE event has a limited capacity, so come early.
Afterward, head to Heritage Park fields for water inflatables, relay games, food, games, a cornhole tournament, live music, and our fireworks show.

Make a Difference Day
Make a Difference Day
Florence residents, the Town of Florence Community Services is currently recruiting volunteers, organizations, and project ideas for Make A Difference Day 2024 , and we want YOU to be a part of it!!! This program is scheduled for Saturday, October 19, from 7:00 am to 11:00 am.Florence Makes a Difference Day is a vibrant event that offers a variety of projects for residents and volunteers to participate in. From local clean-up to beautification, and everything in between, there’s something for everyone! Projects may include cleaning, painting, collecting litter, digging, planting, etc.- Do you have project ideas for this day that your group or organization would like to oversee? Come to our in-person kickoff meeting on Tuesday, September 10, at 5:30 pm at the Florence Community Center.
